How you did disappoint me tonight. The only thing truly wonderful about tonight's American Idol in Austin were the location shots.

Every Austinite was dreadful. I'm so ashamed.  Where were all the UT voice majors? Just the one dude from A&M-Commerce? Pathetic.

As ordinarywhirled has found her fave in Taylor from Vegas, I think I've found mine in Jason the embalmer from Longview. 

I like that the drama geeks (I'm presuming) came out and crashed the auditions as the undead. That was kinda cool. And the montage at the end of Seacrest getting hit in the head repeatedly by happy contestants. Nothing makes me happier than a little Seacrest pain.
